About
Hi! I'm Ian Leutenegger, a current School of Rock drum set instructor and high school marching percussion educator in San Jose, CA. I focus on teaching strong fundamentals, technique, confidence, and musicality.
Whether you're picking up sticks for the first time or looking to expand your vocabulary, lessons are personalized to help you reach your goals. With experience teaching drummers from ages 6 and up, I adapt my teaching style to best fit each student's needs and learning preferences.
Lessons will take place in my home studio, utilizing 2 drum sets so students can learn visually while playing alongside demonstrations. For in person instruction, all equipment is provided, including drums, sticks, headphones, and learning materials.
